Anhydrous Sodium Sulfite is a white crystalline solid and known as the mineral thenardite. Anhydrous sodium sulfate occurs in arid environments as the mineral thenardite. It slowly turns to mirabilite in damp air and it is less common than mirabilite. It is used as a desoxydating or bleaching agent for printing and dyeing industry, as a developer for photographic industr, as a lignin-removing agent for paper indusryr, as a stabilizer for syntheticfiber for textile industry, as a reducing agent for chemical industry, or for electroplating industry etc.
