Description:Bexarotene is a prescription drug used for the treatment of cutaneous T cell lymphoma (CTCL). CTCL is a cancer of the T cells, which are a type of white blood cell. In the disease, T cells proliferate and migrate to the skin where they collect and form rashes, plaques, and tumors. Bexarotene is a retinoid; other retinoids include tazarotene and adapalene (Differin). These retinoids interfere with the growth of skin tumor cells.
