Fenoprofen calcium is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory, antiarthritic drug that also possesses analgesic and antipyretic activities. It shows anti-inflammatory effects in rodents by inhibiting the development of redness and edema in acute inflammatory conditions and by reducing soft-tissue swelling and bone damage associated with chronic inflammation. Chemically, fenoprofen calcium is an arylacetic acid derivative. It is a calcium salt form of fenoprofen, a propionic acid derivative with analgesic, non-steroidal antiinflammatory and antirheumatic properties.
